I hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween (and hopefully, everyone got to enjoy that extra hour of sleep today!!)
What a season it was for the Atom Rams! We had a great group of kids this year, a group that showed up every day, and worked hard right up until the final whistle on Friday night! I’m so proud of how well the kids did and this is one of the big reasons why I love coaching at this level! To see how far these kids have come from when they first hit the field in July is truly awesome!!
This was a season like no other (and one that I didn’t think was going to happen back in March, April, May, June, July and even August!) A huge thank you goes out to all the players and parents for adapting to all the changes and for making sure that we were able to get these kids on the field in a safe and fun environment!
I wanted to take a moment to thank our parents who volunteered as trainers (Tara, Alli, Jason, and Cam) as well as Derek for being our Equipment Manager. It was really great to have that much support for those key positions on our team! And I’d be remiss if I didn’t thank all the parents who spoiled the kids with snacks/drinks after all our practices and games! Thank you!!
And last but not least, I wanted to give a big, big thank you to Colleen and Curtis! Those two worked just as hard as our players to make sure that our season was as awesome as it was! We really could not have done it without them! Thank you, thank you!!
While I’m definitely sad that we are done for the year, I’m beyond thrilled that we were able to get a full season in, and I really hope the kids had as much fun as us coaches had! This really was just a fantastic team to work with!! I’m already looking forward to next year!
Don’t forget we have our Equipment return coming up this week, as well as our year end practice/celebration to wrap up the season next Sunday! I hope everyone is able to make it out!
Have a great weekend everyone, and thank you again for all your support and help in making our 2020 Atom season one of the best we’ve ever had!!
