How to Register

So you want to register for the longest running football club in Sherwood Park? Our registration is now open.

Step one: Eligibility

The Rams are part of the Capital District Minor Football Association. As a member club we are all allotted a recruitment area to draw our players from. If you live in Sherwood Park or Strathcona county south of TWP 534 & East of Hwy 21 & North of Baseline Road, you are in the Sherwood Park Rams recruitment zone and are eligible to play. If you don’t live within those boundaries you can still play for us but it’s best that you get in contact with us so we can walk you through the process (

Step two: What age group do you register for?

The Sherwood Park Rams offer 3 different age groups. Your age is determined by how old your player will be within the calendar year.

  • Atom – Players from 8 to 10 years old.
  • Peewee – Players from 11 to 12 years old.
  • Bantam – Players who are 13-15 years old and are not entering grade 10 in September of the season you are registering.

Step three: Forms and Waivers

We will need you to fill out a few forms to make sure we get all the information that’s needed to be on the Sherwood Park Rams. We will need you to print the registration form and sign the waiver. If you need some help feel free to talk to our managers and they’ll walk you through the process.

Step four: Payments

Football has one of the highest ratios of time to cost of any sports available. We accept Visa, Mastercard, EFT and personal Cheques for your registration fees. Fee’s are dependent on what age group you are registering for.

  • Atom registration fee is $350.00 + $50 Team Fee
  • Peewee registration fee is $400.00 + $50 Team Fee
  • Bantam registration fee is $450.00
  • All registrants will be required to submit a postdated cheque for $500.00 for equipment rentals. This will be returned when the equipment is returned at the end of the year.

Registration is accepted at our equipment dates at our Bantam club house. Dates and times can be found on the team Calendar.

Step Five: Try outs

The Sherwood Park Rams have been around since 1962 and with a history like that we have a lot of players who want to play with us. At the Bantam level we hold try outs around the first two weeks of May. See our calendar for dates. Our Peewee and Atom age groups are on a first come first serve basis so please register early. For any of our teams do not feel intimidated. Football is a sport anyone can play if they show up with a willingness to be coached and the attitude to work hard and try every day.
