Spring Flag - All levels - (April to May)
Spring Flag
This is a short season that is open to all ages. With the game being played on a smaller field, with fewer players, each player's opportunity to touch the ball and be involved in the play is increased. The focus will be on developing skills, fundamentals, and teamwork while staying active and having fun in an inclusive environment.
Number and size of teams will be dependent upon the number of registrants and coaches. Not all divisions may have a team.
Gameplay: U10, U12 - 5-a-side football on a modified field.
U12, U14 and U16 - 7-a-side football on a modified field.
Eligibility: Open to all ages 8 to 15. Open to all genders!
Practice: 2 practices a week - Practices begin in April.
Games: U10, U12, U14 and U16 - Two games per week. Game locations are in the
City of Edmonton and surrounding areas.
Season: Season gameplay begins Mid April and continues to early June.
Equipment
Rental from the Club (as part of the registration fees)
- Flag (Belt & Flags)
- Shorts and Jersey (for athletes to keep)
Other MANDATORY Required Equipment - Not provided
- Football Cleats (or acceptable rubber cleat alternative) - No metal cleats
- Good quality mouth guard
